Would you have Seb or Newey?

Just thinking about how early seb won the championship, but would it have been possible without that car?

If you owned an F1 team, who would you rather have in it?

Newey, just. Seb is a good driver, but there's 5-6 drivers at least who can win championships in the right car. Newey is the an to design that car.....

Adrian Newey without a doubt.

You only have to look at the cars he has designed over the years. I think the ultimate team would be Lewis and Fred in a car designed by Newey.

Providing Fred would work with Lewis again (I think he would now).

I think there are a couple of drivers who are as good, or better than Seb.

Vettel is a very good driver, no doubt. But there are at least 3 others at comparable level to him (Alonso, Button, and when he has his head on straight, Hamilton). There are no designers comparable to Newey at the moment.

Newey. Drivers come and go, deapite them being incredibly talented, but a good car can make or break you.

This. Webber did far better in last year's car where the team still gave a fk about him. This year's car has been designed solely with Vettel in mind. Webber gets strapped in and told to drive. I think he's doing a solid job considering what he's up against in his own team and in other teams.

Easy decision, Newey any day. He is unbeatable when it comes to car design whereas Fingers is beatable. I have no doubt that he is the quickest over a single lap but I still have doubts that he is as good a racer as Button, Hamilton, Alonso, et al.

Funny, everyone says Newey, but yet 4% voted for Fingers??? By the way, it would be Newey for me too, his design makes Vettel what he is. He might be good in a car, one of, if not the best in F1 right now, but if he wasn't in a Newey designed car, i would suggest he wouldn't have dominated like he has

Not wishing to detract from Seb's achievement this season, which is superb let's face it, he has driven well and made very few mistakes at all, absorbed pressure and got on with the job.

Vettel has pushed the team forward in my view - he's an integral part of it. I'd say Newey but Vettel would be my pick of the drivers, followed by Alonso.

When Mclaren won in 88, Williams in '87 or '92, or Ferrari in 02 or 04 the no. 2 driver finished an easy runner up in the championship - we're not seeing that today with RB.

Newey. His record of world championships is more impressive then anyone else.

And remember what Mclaren used to say in the late 90s to Ferrari:

Our Newey is better then your Schuey!

Newey. Not wishing to detract from Seb's achievement, he has definitely stepped it up a level this year, I think that Lewis, Jenson or Fred would be even better in the Red Bull.

Newey, with Fred and JB driving the car. As others have already said, winning two WDCs in a row is a fantastic achievement but I think there are probably half a dozen drivers who could have done the same given the same car, and the same level of 'support' over their teammate,

Newey for me too. No driver can make up for a bad car, but there are nearly always a handful of drivers that can make a good car win. Not taking anything away from Seb, who's had a solid season and did what he had to. He's played his part, but the car does and always has made the biggest difference.

In any given season there were maybe two different makes of car capable of winning the championship, three on rare occasions, but perhaps a half dozen drivers who could have won in the right seat.

Newey without doubt, the god of aerodynamics. When he was at Williams they won the world championships, at Maclaren - they won the world championships, and now.... you see where I am going with this?

Since he left Williams they have done sweet FA, Macca too have struggled too by their standards - remember last year's dog?
