Dimple sump plugs

Has anyone used them and seen a noticable difference?

The sump plug is welded in and so is already not looking as it should. I wanted to use one of these and also wondered about the loss of the large rubber washer. I am sure it makes no difference since most cars do not have one.

There are two systems used on sump plugs, The rubber washer or a brass based washer. If they dident need the rubber washer they would not have fitted it.
