Just a quick question. Do any of you use a set of these and if so do they foul under the clip? Do you use vertical trumpets or swan knecked trumpets? Thanks.

An alloy big block with 6 inch trumpets (kinsler style) fits with ease... LS should be no problem.... so what you up to now Boost ??

They're a bit like Kinslers but with extra materia/height where the throttle shafts pass through the body so if need be they can be made half an inch lower. Chokes are 50 mm but can be made larger. They'll have the trumpets mounted in a similar way to a kinsler because that's a very good design and the trumpets will be carbon. It's not been decided whether to use bushes for the shafts or needle rollers but it's probably going to be the rollers.

50mm would be too small for a LS7.
My SBC with just 5.7litre needs 2 1/2" butterflies to match the tapering inletchannel measured from the smallest X-section in the cylinderhead.

Harry you need 8 x 2.5" on a 5.7? That's massive cfm.

... suppose it depends on his planned RPM... ITB's dont combine their area with other venturis/butterflies to produce a total CFM, as would a large 4 barrel or central EFi TB.

Boosted, a design with roller or needles may be better received. Also a decent diameter spindle..... less wear and easily thinned down/profiled without loss of strength..
