My post regarding the removal of the Parkers Forum, without any opportunity to record at least the contacts...also lost a very long thread about two lassies driving a Micra to Ulan Bator...I have salvaged a bit of the story from the Micra site...

I had a minor part in this...went to see and took photos of Daisy...I had suggested the name after watching 'Driving with Miss Daisy' sorted the payment...contributed a fire extinguisher...got one of the girls some IAM free training...saw them off in Hyde Park

Many of the Parkers lads contributed a lot of support, both practical and emotional...Antmat got free tyres from Kumho...massive support from many others in the motoring trade...Anthony worked his butt off for months to prepare the car!

We used to have access to this thread - not any more...an fine example of how punters like us - whether on Parkers or Pistonheads - can enjoy driving AND do something useful for humanity...

I can no longer find how much the girls raised for the Charity (they did quite well!)...or what happened to "Daisy"...or contact the mates who spent months and efforts making this happen.
