Anyone know the origin of the door locks mechanism in a 97 Chimaera ?
I've shorted mine out and now the plunger on the GEMTEC motor unit seems to be siezed.
Anybody got ANY info on the GEMTEC motor unit for the locks or managed to un-sieze one before ?
Phil - I'd speak to a TVR dealer on this one. Sometimes they can actually supply parts for the same price or less than the equivalent part from Vauxhall/Ford.

Like you said Trefor, TVR can come up with better prices sometimes.
The solonoid (GEMTEC motor unit) is actually from a Ford Fiesta boot lock mechanism. TVR price £26.20 (+VAT), Ford price £32 (+VAT) !
still a painful lesson to learn to keep the wires in the mirror out of harms way.
