On my V8V with HID headlamps, the low beam is bright but seems quote short. I've not measured it, but on my other cars the distance is much further and I recall reading about this before but can't seem to find the link or remember if there was a fix. Does anyone know?

I've got the same issue in my V8. My last car was a CLK Cabriolet that used to light up the trees the headlamps were set so high, every other driver used to flash me. Mercedes did get them lowered after I managed to explain to the service receptionist the difference between brightness and height. However they seemed to still be very high.

I've checked the AM handbook and it says they are adjusted automatically but I'm struggling to see the road if it's unlit.

Low beam HID's do tend to have a pronounced cut off which can make them look short. You can always tweak them up yourself using the adjusters through the front plate under the bonnet wink

I've noticed this too on my car. Compared to the Jag's HID, the AM's seem like they have a short throw. Even had the dealer adjust them because I thought they must be off but they said they were within spec. I'm tempted to raise them a degree or two, but don't want blind oncoming cars.

Mine are the same and I get flashed all the time as it is!

In general i find the headlights on Astons poor by comparison. It is a design issue as the lens sits very far up the bonnet on all the Gaydon cars so you will always have a dark area right in front of the car. I have enquired about installing some cornering lights into the front spoiler but WS has never done this before so costs are probably prohibitive.
