here's my penny's worth

Coil -Bosch is best, mine being changed tomorrow, some of the codes given on the forums and the link are wrong!! If someone doesn't beat me to it I'll post tomorrow. PS the Bosch number is a 12 digit figure if I recall

Rotor arm - is Lucas; got mine from Tim @ Act at a competitive price

Dist Cap - got mine from Tim @ Act at a competitive price

Volt regulator/amplifier thingy next to coil - I have a code of Lucas DAB135 or Intermotor PRC6574

If your looking at leads or plug extenders I would recommend Act again. Bosch leads were quoted at £150 per set and Bosch plug extenders with the suppressor at £15 each whereas the Act kit was very competitive in comparison (approx £70 and £3.20 + vat respectively) also you know it will work because they are specialists!

And before anyone asks; I am in no way connected with Act Products but impressed with their service (and I have only just started using them)

Yes I would second this, ACT for service and value, I have used them twice in the last month, satisfied customer.
Peninsula have been good for TVR parts also.
I think the "thingy" may be an ignition module?

Well; changed leads, plugs, coil, rotor arm, dizzy cap, plug extenders, reset ECU and cleaned the stepper motor. Result is a super smooth motor again. but tick over is still hunting; hoping it will steady when ECU settles in again!!

For interests sake and as I promised:

BOSCH COIL PART NO is 0 221 122 392

Only other problem is that the temp gauge is making major movements now; any help gratefully accepted, will go searching later tonight on the forums but don't recall anything from previous searches

LR part numbers that fit a pre-serp 5Ltr if your interested. Drop wixer a mail about coils as he has opted for a replacement from TVR Power.
