The Sun Highways Agency says motorists are thick

As a result of running their cars until the fuel light comes on in a misguided effort to save money, the number of motorists stranded by fuel problems or simply running out has risen. Stupidity is clearly not going out of fashion.

Bah; How or why did I get the title so very wrong and make myself look so stupid?

When I'm feeling a bit tight I always think to maybe fill up earlier to save money short term. However there is something satisfying in running the tank really empty so you can have nearly an entire tanks worth of new stuff.
