I've just managed to drop my Omega Seamaster on the bathroom floor and it's now stopped and something sounds amiss inside! Is it a case of it has to go back to Omega or can someone recommend somewhere I'm less likely to get shafted and have to wait months for its return?

Is it wrong for me to be considering a replica for the interim? I fancy a Panerai as my next watch so a decent replica would give me an idea of size etc. I've seen a few on here, so would anyone recommend somewhere I might be able to get one?

I sent my Seamaster Chronograph to Stephen Burrage at Ryte Time Watch Repairs after recommendations both from here and TZ-UK. It came back more accurate than it's ever been and feels mechanically better than it has ever when I adjust it, even when compared to when it was new. Best of all his prices were very reasonable and he's a nice guy.

This is his phone number: 0116 267 7673

Stephen Burrage at Ryte Time Watch Repairs
Does a great job, with quick turn round and a fair price.
Be weary though, if you want it re-sealed water tight however.

I had to go back to Rolex for my Sub-Date & Yachtmaster as he could neither get the parts (bezel damage) needed or re-seal & warranty the WR

Anotehr vote for Ryte Time. It may take a bit longer than his estimation though.

Thanks all, there's a guy on the South Coast forum who runs a jewellers and employs an Omega repairer, so I'm going to pop it down to him to have a quick look at; if he can't help then rytetime will be my next port of call.

Bought myself a Parnis today to tide me over until it's repaired, I feel almost naked with nothing on my wrist!
