Discussion
As discussed in the whisky thread, this is a place to list offers on Booze in the run up to Christmas.
Bowmore Legend £20 in Sainsbury's just now. It's a cracking dram

Lavgavulin 16 is also on promo at Sainsbury's....Just over £34.
Same supermarket has a 20% off promo on a number of drinks lines, including Kraken spiced rum, Hendrick's gin...and refreshingly Zubrowka Vodka....back down to £14 and pennies...cheapest seen it for some while....it *was* regularly offered at £13 or so, before the economic shambles hit.

Sainsbury's has 20% off most spirits at present
Sainsbury's have also usually got some great wine deals on. My parents now buy nearly all their wine in Sainsbury's and take it back to France where they live; how times have changed.
One worth mentioning is Carta Roja Gran Reserva which is selling for £5.99 instead of £11.99 it is a great Sunday lunch red at that price. link

25% of wine & champagne at Waitrose for one week starting today.
Careful here. Any other offers have disappeared in the run-up to this, plus you need to buy six bottles.
Last week I bought a medal-winning Chablis at £9.99. This week it's £14.99.
Likewise a regular glugger - Wolf Blass 2010 Chardonnay - is £9.99 at Waitrose (with 25% off if you buy six bottles) yet it's only £6.99 for a single bottle in the village shop.

If the shop has exactly the same stuff at £6.99 grab it. They might have made a price error though, a lot of cash and carry prices on alcohol are little different to the supers.
Stainsbury's again
25% off wine if you buy 6 bottles. Sainsbury's wine selection, in the shop I use , any rate, is not that brilliant...AND they do the "half price" con, put it in one shop for an absurd price..then sell it at "Half price" ...which is the real price...of course. However, there are a few good buys..so worth going for.

6x Lussac St Emillion for £33.69 tonight. It's 'half price', but as Majestic sell it for £10 per bottle, it's a good price!25% off wine if you buy 6 bottles. Was looking for some Louis Roederer Brut Premier NV (75cl)... Generally I pay circa £35/ bottle for this from our local offy if they have it in stock...... so with Xmas looming ......
Virgin wines have it at £26/ bottle, BUT
get a £40 discount code from here http://www.winesdirect.co.uk/products/louis_roeder... and buy 12 bottles works out £22.66/bottle, incl delivery costs... result in my book.
