Actually......

they did make a 550 convertible. It was a one off with a full folding soft top. I'll go and hunt for a photo now and post if i can find it.

550 convertible

It's a conversion made by Straman. Officially called the 550 Convertible, but only 2 ever made. $200k+ and the particular one shown has been up for sale on numerous occasions.
