Imipramine & Tension Headaches

I've had a splitting headache every day for about 20 weeks now - and having had multiple blood tests and a CAT scan to rule everything else out my Doctor has diagnosed it as being a severe and persistant tension headache.

Obviously feeling like I am suffering from a massive hangover every day for nearly 5 months is making my life pretty miserable. My Doctor has prescribed my Imipramine as an a-typical pain killer as none of the usual pain killers have any effect whatsoever.

First dose was at 30mg per day - worked great for a couple of weeks but it's now started to be ineffecive so me has moved me up to 60mg per day. Apparently they start prescribing it at 75mg per day to treat depression.

Anyone got any experience of either severe prolonged tension headaches - or as Imipramine as a pain killer? Any advice or guidance will be much appreciated.
