will APJ 4.2/ 4.5 fit in Mark 1 capri ?

does anyone know if an APJ 4.2 / 4.5 engine gearbox etc has ever been fitted to a mark 1 capri ?

The engine bay is large enough to get a cosworth DFV

Well TVR put a bloody Capri engine in my car. so im sure they wont mind if you put a TVR engine in a capri. At a later date we can put things right again and i will have TVR engine....

Any engine will fit, it's just a case of time & money (hope you have plenty of both!)

I thought that EVO had put a Rover V8 in (although stroked and bored to 5.2 litres). As the Rover V8 is a wider angle than the AJPV8 I would hazard a guess this won't be problem. You're biggest issue will be with engine mounts and then a set of headers. That is of course if you can FIND a working AJPV8 to use.
