Is anyone else watching this? What a soft ste this guy is.

He has been alone on an island for less than 24 hours, and is crying saying he is going crazy. He has forgotten most of the survival training he was shown (including how to use the salt water purification unit he has been gifted), and is incapable of catching fish, or anything else to eat.

They've now left one of his jumpers in the drop box (where he swaps the camera batteries) and he is inhaling it and crying that "it smells like home". 24 hours....

The mind boggles

The one with Freddie last week was good and I think he really enjoyed himself, despite not managing to get any food.

"I don't know if you can see.... but there is a beautiful rainbow. Its faint, but..... its there. Its a sign that I can't...... give up hope *cries*".

If he shut up and tried to catch a fish he would be better off. I can't believe anyone is this incapable of "surviving" with a fishing kit, first aid kit, flares, waterproofing equipment, fire starting equipment, and rice for one week.

I can really identify with some of his feelings of loneliness especially in the last few days, but its a big building and I am on a blackberry.

We had one of those discussions at work when you try to determine how well people in the office would survive in the event of some form armagedon. First we determined the levels of disaster from supermarket shelves being empty, through lack of petrol, civil unrest, armed incursions... and all the way to zombie invasion.

A few of us reckoned we'd be OK - we have good practical skills and what we don't know about killing and preparing our own food could be learned. We'd overcome any sense of squeamishness.

One of our lot though... Well, he'd be dead when the bottled water ran out..!!

Alone in the Wild my arse! When the first series was on a couple of years ago if you looked on google maps you could see he was about 3 miles from a holiday resort!

Amy Williams & Tanya Streeter this week, should be a lot better than a camp judge.

2 girls in a tent, what's not good about that?

I guess someone being really good at it (like we all would be, of course) wouldn't make great telly...
