New Chim owner - first post

Hi Guys
Finally went for it and bought a '95 Chim 4.0! Already took her up to the Peak district for a weekend and loved every minute of it! This Saturday I'm taking her to the guys at Str8six for a proper checkup so fingers crossed there are no surprises there...!
I'll keep you posted.

It's a TVR. Define 'surprises'.
Seriously, if your experience turns out to be anything like mine, you will soon be saying; "Best money I ever spent."
Enjoy
What did you get sorted out Bill. I'm looking for a specialist to give the car a service this year as the last 3 have been at a non-specialist.

I was referring to the original purchase price as the "Best money I ever spent."
As to servicing and repair, quite a number of the original TVR dealers are still out there, and a few independents that touch little or nothing else but TVR.
If you give a general location (I humbly suggest a new post), I am sure you will get a lot of enthusiastic suggestions.

I can recommend one of each type in the Hampshire area...

Thanks Matt and others! Am already looking forward to taking her out this weekend!!
Good advice to any new TVR owner (without intending to sound condesending) Take it easy when you do for the first several outings, especially if this is your first high-torque, rear-wheel drive car and extra extra especially if the road is anything but dry.I went from a 1984 Rover 213S (1.3litre) to my TVR so stuck to only applying full throttle in straight lines and in gears 3 and up. It is hard not to hit the loud pedal all the time though !
Hi Rein,
Nice to meet you at Str8six today.
I can see you love your TVR, you obviously have very good taste.
It seems you have chosen the best colour too ;-)
If you would like to come to the Ace Cafe the next TVR meet is actually next Wednesday (19th).
Its a good crowd of TVR nuts like us, I think you will fit right in.
Best regards, Dave (& Angela).

Hi Dave (& Angela),
It was good meeting you this weekend! I loved your car (and the colour obviously), you've clearly put in a lot of time and effort and she looks fantastic!
Unfortuntately I can't make it tonight as I had to go to the Netherlands but will definitely try to be there next time. See you then (if not sooner at Str8six of course)!
Best,
Rein
