cheapest smallest car available on finance

except a gwiz!
Mrs 2cv wants a new car. She couldn't care less about cars.
She has a Citroen C1 at the mo and pays something like £115 a month on a PCP, maintained, 6k PA over 3yrs. She has mooted that she might want a change if it doesn't cost too much more, and budget is more or less the same, maybe an extra £10-20 a month at a push; but she does about 10k miles PA now.
She has seen peugeot "just add fuel", and factoring in the cost of insurance, it works out in the region of £179 a month for a 207 1.4 which is cheaper overall compared to the C1 plus insurance.
Have seen Suzuki Alto, Hyundai I10, Fiat Panda, Kia whateveritis... clearly there are a load of other cars like Toyota Aygo and Peugeot 107 that are just a C1 with diff clothes.
Would be nice to suggest something to her that she hasn't thought of, so any ideas?

Oh god, kets not turn this into yet another buying outright vs leasing/PCP/finance thread.
If she is not into cars just go for the cheapest deal you can find.
Most of the cheap deals aremileage dependent to 6k per year. This was the case when I last looked at the Panda.
The 207 sounds a good deal especially if it includes insurance and works out cheaper than the other deals. Do you accrue NCDs?

The Peugeot and Citroen deals always seem to be the cheapest. With regard to the Peugeot all inclusive deal I guess it would depend primarily on the cost of insurance as these cars cost buttons to tax and servicing is minimal too. Sit down with a calculator and work out the costings.
Mrs SB has a Citroen C2 on lease, she'd had enough of Ford Ka's etc letting her down. 3+23 lease, £140 per month for 10k pa. This was 2 years ago, think they're just as cheap (if not cheaper) now. It's been a great little hassle-free car.

If she wants another C1 these are being advertised at £499 deposit then £99 per month, inc Vat, for 2 year deal. Not bad to run a brand new car.

Looked into the Just Add fuel deal for SWMBO and if she likes the car it is a cracking way to fix your motoring costs over 3 years, £179 per month for a warrantied, serviced and insured car isn't a huge sum of money. I don't think it includes tyres but if she sticks to the 6666 miles a year limit it shouldn't need them.
The mileage limit was the only reason we didn't get one.

the just add fuel thing - you can opt for a PCP type deal now, and also you can buy more miles - although the terms of that i am not sure of. However, assuming that it works out similarly to PCP, it might add £10-20 to the monthly figure taking it to about £200. She wants to get the deposit down a bit, so if that is possible on the JAF deal, then that might add a further £30 a month to get the dipper down around the 500 mark. All in all it ends up being about £230 a month, whereas the equivalent deal on a C1 ends up being a bit cheaper even when you factor in all the extra costs.

What's the problem with the c1? Personally I can see the step "up" to a 207 could potentially be more hassle. The C1/Aygo/107 is a very very good, reliable small car.
No problem, literally. She only said she just fancied a change, but not like £50 a month worth of a change probs. She'll prob end up with another, I feel, unless this thread turns up with something unexpected, cos I've done a bit of research myself and can't find much to touch it for VFM.
