What car for her (...and me...cough..!)
Discussion
New car time for her... currently has a '01 Ibiza, which is typical dire VAG fodder, understeer city, soggy to drive and dog slow. Although its her car - I drive it quite often, for camping trips, shopping etc as its obviously more practical than mine.
So -
- 2.5 to 3k.
- Less than ten years old or so.
- bit more pokey and dynamic than what she has now, bit more fun.
- Half decent on fuel, diesel or petrol. If diesel must be a 'nice' diesel though.
- Small/mid sized
My initial thoughts are maybe a late facelifted Mk1 focus, a Toyota Yaris, Honda Civic...?

As a previous owner of an ST170, these are great fun in terms of handling and yet amazingly refined.
The engine goes well enough if you keep the revs up although the fuel consumption isn't spectacular. At that price you'd have plenty money left for petrol though!!
