July issue of Car mag, extract of brief in Walter Rohrl in car interview in GT3 at the 'Ring-

Rohrl- "I remember one test in the GT2, I arived here [Tiergarten] at 303km/h, and it was starting to oversteer (he mimes a 1/4 turn of opp lock) this was the reason we decided to make 315 tyres on the back, before they were 295"

So there ya go, nice to know you that thanks to Rohrl you are less likely to loose the back end on a GT2 at 190mph than you would have done on those skinny old 295's. ....

Oh Joel/Dom for the trip- (in the same article) apparently in Rohrls opinion its easy after 10 laps for a good driver to rack up an 8.40 lap...!! learn where the bumps are & he says a standard 911 will do 8.15-8.18...

So all you need to do chaps to get good times- is lend ya wagons to 'good drivers'

Are you still trying to sort out Brands GP in September? I've had no joy talking to Easytrack about car rental...harrupmh! No such problems with Jonny....harrumph!

Sorry i cant remember where i saw it.
But it was about a week ago.
It was that walter rohl chap explaining why the tyre size had to be increased from 295 to 315 and the offending piece of circuit where he felt it warranted them.

Ha ha what do you mean wet, it was only a few drops of precipitation , mind you there was some bearded old bloke loading animals in pairs into some huge old woodern boat thing at the edge of Copse

Nah to be honest Don im no great shakes, I just had the perfect car for the conditions- skinny rubber with bags of tread & feck all power & its a doddle to drive in the wet, I wouldnt have been quite so confident in say the bimmer or JC's SLR.

Sept Brands, I'll do a couple of shake down runs in the long awaited budget track slut which has at last fired up! & see how it is going, before shelling out the ££.
