This is to the underside of the sills and underneath the car. It's currently bare metal, I've ground the welds down to tidy them up.

I'm going to use Schultz, a rubberised paint. Do I prime then paint the areas first though?

Acid etch primer followed by basecoat and underseal in whichever order they were applied originally!

I've had good results applying it to bare metal.

As I'm known to take the odd shortcut, I had a look at the datasheet here to see how naughty it is to do that. To my surprise, 3M say it's fine!
