It would be much appreciated if someone could post me a link to a video of a meet/ drive out of PH members. Want to get a taste of the general pace that they drive at, before i commit to turning up at one.
And before it happens, im fully braced for the wall of abuse that will ensue, as im sure someone will find something wrong, or implied about this genuinely serious question. This wouldnt be Pistonheads if someone didnt take offence at something trivial.
Cheers in advance.

Not being funny but I don't think anyone is going to imply they break any speed limits in this sort of thread. Also if I were to go to a PH meeting /run I wouldn't suggest that I broke any speed limits too. Lets just say that any PH meeting will involve spirited driving but not anything daft. Stop being a wuss and get to one. HTH smile

Tunnel run so slightly slower pace then the usual. And the fact that I was in a mx5 lol.

Ps. No speed limits broken by myself, the 5 isn't powerful enough for that, the strategic blur is purely for the benefit of the other members of the group!

600bhp/ton minimum to keep up.

wink

You'll be fine although it does depend on what sort of thing you're thinking of attending. Whether it be a hoon or a lesuirely convoy to a meet.

They could emply it in such a way as "speed some times hit 6.01 leptons, thats crazy". Just a hint, for anyone lurking, watching, on the run from the law.
But yes, as you said, best i just get there and find out. I could always drop out mid drive if im not happy.

Nope, a Focus but he's only got a lowly 1.6 - a 1.8 will be a rocket ship in comparison wink

Seriously I've been on a few of these runs (Scotland/Highlands - not sure if different down south...) with everything from 1.25 Fiestas and 3+ ton Discoveries to 300bhp TVRs and K20 supercharged Elises. You've got nothing to worry about (or if you've still got a bike - take that and smoke everyone hehewink). Runs are "quick" but nowhere near track days etc. smile

I have been on a few PH trips now and they are great fun! All types of cars go and no-one gets left behind.

The general traffic on the road will mean that you will keep catching up with your fellow PHers if you get held up at roundabouts or junctions.

My top tip: Stick your satnav on for the meeting point just incase you do lose sight for whatever reason!
