Central Locking ? - assistance required

Tonight the car developed strange noises from the doors.
Traced the fault to a noisy blue box amongst the wiring nest in the passenger footwell (with a large block connector and single lead). Disconnected single lead and fault stopped. Nothing of note in the bible.
Anyone had a similar experience ? Guess I need a new 'blue box' ?
any advice appreciated.

They also do a basic 2 door kit for just £44.95
