Got in the car this morning, first time after titt7, and the speedo/milo dial isn't working. What are the likely causes and where should I look first? Any help appreciated.

Mark.

Sensor at the diff end I suspect. Was on mine anyway.

wavey Hi Mike, this is either the cable disconnected from the back of the speedo unit, or more likely the transducer, which is mounted on the diff housing. the gap might be clogged up (you'll see it aligned with the teeth) or the unit has died. Very easy to replace, or re-set the gap - even i managed it!

David, thanks very much for the offer. I may take you up on that. I might be heading down to southampton anyway so if I do I give you a buzz. It also depends on whether I want to drive it as im unsure as to whether it will breakdown...see here http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
