I love going to the Hawksmoor in Langley Street, London - after a very long day yesterday - thought that I would treat myself before driving home last night - turned up only to find the place ON FIRE!!!!

I do like my steak well done - but thats just silly.

Had a crappy pizza instead :-( hope that its back up and running soon.

They're expecting to be open for lunch today apparently, so can't have been too bad.

You'll see a lot of nice wine on tables... spend what you would have spent but drink WAY better!

Well we had a really nice meal, both went for fillet although we both felt they were a little over done for medium rare ( was expecting a bit more blood! ) but good was lovely and glad we went.

It's a close call, but Goodmans edged it for me.
