Well if it was a government policy document.

Seems a bit strange, why wouldn't he simply use a bin in the office?

Link

Cameron needs to get a grip with his Cabinet soon as they are coming across like a bunch of amateur idiots who have no understanding that you don't take "friends" on foreign trips with you and don't throw papers into bins in a park. We haven't even had the usual sex scandals yet either.

Leaves Downing Street in front of the aseembled press at 7.01am, ends up ina public park 3 mins later, walking about reading Govt docs he's come out of D Street with, reads them and puts them in a bin in the park! Press guy gets them and it is letters about terrorist rendition etc!

Apparently, they've been followingt him for a month, picking up all his post and stuff from the bin after he's read it.

What a dumb fker!

It's rutting season. We won't need to wait too much longer.

I'm beginning to think this country would run better with no one in charge.

Not read much on this but was talking to the g/f this morning and we were in agreement. If they were "Dear Oli, we need to meet next week to talk about the CAP figures and the coordinated response to the questions being arsed about rendition" then a big fat so fecking what.

If they were "GDP is down 7% this month and we need to discuss the cases of Mr A Fyed and Allah J. regarding the CIA rendition of them last year" then he needs to be swung from the goolies.

Of course the Press are going to ham it up for all it is worth though as they love to stir the st and do nothing more than try to make themselves appear more important then they are.

I've got so tired of reading the press these days because there doesn't seem to be a single paper or press organisation that is capable of presenting the news and allowing you to draw your own opinion. They are far too concerned with trying to make their readership believe that their interpretation is that news.

There are procedures for disposing of government documents.

I am sure that there are and i am also fairly sure that these have not been followed as closely as they should have been in regard to general waste. What I object most strongly to is the way the Press loves to stoke things up and make an illadvised error out to be a national fricking crisis.

Letwin's a good bloke (localish MP to me) but he does seem to suffer from foot-in-mouth disease.

Wasn't it him who happily let a burglar into his house a few years ago?

It looks like Cameron belives in never having anyone cleverer than him
in the cabinet...
