First time I've seen this one,
unless Honda's suffer from some fuel tank issue that I'm unaware of?
So if I had the same car but I never let mine go below 1/2 tank would it be worth more? Yes - because its got a 1/4 of a tank more fuel in it!

My Dad says this about his car, he reckons that if you let the fuel get too low then sediment from the tank could damage your engine. I don't believe it myself, I always run mine until there's only fumes left.unless Honda's suffer from some fuel tank issue that I'm unaware of?

k all about cars it was all just a ploy to put petrol in if it was running low so she didnt have to!I don't care about any of the spec details after engine size, gearbox, and whether it's got leather or not. What matters is the service history, cambelt etc, any restoration. I can't believe people detail the fog lights and time-delay rear washer-wipe but don't mention whether it's been serviced in the last 8 years.

The earlier models of the Rover 75 / MG ZT diesel have 2 fuel pumps, one in-tank and one under bonnet. If one fails, the other one is stressed, often resulting in that failing too. Usually the in-tank one is first to go, and the general opinion is that failure is due to lack of lubrication. So it's recommended that you don't let the fuel level run too low, thereby keeping the pump lubricated at all times.unless Honda's suffer from some fuel tank issue that I'm unaware of?

Could be a similar issue on the Civic I guess. Not heard of anything specific though.
