Now that Forza 4 is out it has to be the 360 IMO.

Forza 4 is a long way ahead of GT5, are there many racing games on the PS3 that aren't available on the 360? Other good racing games include any Dirt game, F1, Grid, Race Pro and Flatout, Burnout is ok too...

360 is worth it for Race Pro and Forza 4 in my opinion. Race Pro is an absolute gem but criminally overlooked by just about everyone (it's very poorly designed in terms of menus, bugs, graphics etc, but the driving model is incredible).

Depends the xbox fanboys are gonna say xbox and the ps3 fanboys are gonna say ps3.

Search on youtube for GT5 and likewise for forza 4 and make youre own mind up.

I'm a PS3 fan-boy. Always have been, but my vote goes for the X-Box smile

see videos's of the ring - GT5 looks real in some places.

I hear the physics in GT5 are more realistic too.

But 800 of the 1000 cars look like total st, and your savegame gets random corruptions at random intervals. Fun.

Forza for me (and I love love love my PS3, so not a fanboy).

Random corruptions happen less often than the red ring of death. its just doom mongering, you can back up save games if it scares you

Caterham racing at spa in the rain anyone? only on gt5... wink

The Ferrari challege games on PS3 are also very good.

If you want a good 'pick up and play' console and game, then XBox and Forza 4. Get a 250GB xbox ,you'll run out of disk space on the budget 4Gb one in moments.

If you want to dedicate your life to it, then PS3 + Gran Turismo 5 and a steering wheel really is a must as well for that game.

Right now, to be honest ,Forza 4 has the edge. It's just more fun and less frustrating.

(I have both and consider myself unbiased)

I'm mixed on this. If its for single player then Forza, but online multiplayer would be GT5
