Lingenfelter is one of the biggest and most popular Corvette tuners and is a legendary company. Unfortunately John Lingenfelter died a few months ago . Given the context, a "Lingenfelter" would most likely mean a Corvette which has been tuned by Lingenfelter (probably with one of their packages).

They tested a Lingenfelter twin turbo C5 big block and it did 0-60 in 1.9 seconds (on slicks) and 0-150 in just over 9. That's what a Lingenfelter is!

Wasn't it 8.95 not just over 9? That is what the magazine said (LPE have the article and cover on their website address), and every site gives those times. I don't think it was a big block, either just a modified LS6 or C5R.

That's what happens when your mate steals your mag.

Just checked the video I have from Motor Trend and it's a 427 (7 litre) twin turbo putting out over 800bhp at the tyres giving 0-60 in 1.97 and a 9.24 quarter.

This is the article I'm referring to:
www.lingenfelter.com/images/CF427TT_eprint.pdf

Except that is Corvette Fever not Motortrend.
