Well,

Ive gone and done it

Bought with my heart and not my head as usuall, but I now own 2.... yes 2

FHC 2+2 wedges.......

One is my trusty and faithfull 280i thats currently having a lovely shiny set of Stage 1 polished and ported heads. complete with new springs and new guides and seals...

The other is A......... 1 OF 6 350I 2+2 V8 yikes

and Im chuffed to bits like a bloke on a railway track! bounce

Now, it needs a bit of work, well quite a bit of work, the outriggers will need some attention, but its got MOT till Jan, and the clutch slave will need sorting as there is a bit of a leak which means you need to double clutch to cleanly engage the gears, but other than that, its pretty clean!

Some of you will know of it, and I know some have seen it, and before you all start, Ill post pics next week when its delivered.

All I need now is a bigger stable, because they both wont go in the garage.....
looks like the bike definately needs to go.

Nice one..A V8..Cant wait to see..But were gonna have to..I dont think getting rid of the bike will leave enough room for another car though..You could always try to convince the pub next door that having a car park encourages people to drink and drive and they would be better off reducing the risk by selling you a chunk at a very cheap rate, Maybe even PX the bandit..So that you can extend your garage..Simples!!..Good luck with the new wedge..Ziga

Most people turn their garage into a sitting room, you could turn your sitting room into a garage. Surprise the Mrs! Problem solved.

One thing, don't get drawn into playing to much with the new toy!
Untill you finish the old one!
Other wise the 2.80i will take longer and longer to finish!

Believe me I know, I am only know just finishing the wife's car over a year late as the SEAC took over last year!

Andy

You are quite right, and Ive put off delivery for a couple of weeks so I can get the 280 back on the road.

My back is better than last week, and Ive already got 1 head on and torqued down, second head is ready and waiting for the inlet manifold to be returned and the exhaust manifold to be welded up, so come the end of next weekend I hope it will be up and running.

Just need a baby sitter for the kids so I can get a full day on it,,,, any takers???
