The best value for money rear tires for summer?

Hey, going to replace my rear tires and was wondering what are the best rears I can get without breaking the bank? I live near Reading, does anybody know a good place to get tyres fitted and wheels tracked?

Hi, I just replaced my rear tyres. I'm in Scotland so can't help with best place. However, just to say they are a pretty uncommon size so when I phoned around, one supplier couldn't wait to get rid of them - he had bought them about a year ago and thought he'd never sell them.

So - phone around, most will have to order them but if anyone has them in stock, you should get a good price.

Mine were £65 ea. Mind you, they're not Bridgestone. Think they are Marshall but they seem to work.

Re. setting up - this particular garage looked at the suspension and said last time he saw that it was on a Morris Marina However, he seems to have got the set-up right.

Assume your rears are 16". I got some Toyo Proxes 245/45ZR16's from mytyres - took about 3 days from order. Look great and perform well.

Currently showing as £87.70 each. Nobody could get near this price. Plus you'll need to add around £10 per tyre for fit, balance etc.
Make sure the fitters have plastic covers for the metal thing that they use to put the tyres on with and that they are used to fitting to alloys otherwise you'll get some damaage.
Don't commit until you get this.

Another vote for the Toyo's from me. Fitted them to my Griff last year, very cheap and they perform very well.

Another vote for Toyo's, and another vote for Bracknell Tyre and Battery. They've been consistently competitive on price, if they don't have it they'll get it in a day, and they look after your rims.
