Which are best, the folding ones or solid ones?

Mine hasn't got any, and now the sun is getting low in the sky I could really do with some to stop myself getting blinded!

Go for folding visors, no contest IMHO. They don't get in the way/line of vision quite as much as the one piece ones do.

Surely it depends on your height. Folding would be best for me but my missus would be happy with the bigger ones as she's a foot shorter than me biggrin

Folding ones are worse as they're twice as thick.

I've never seen the point in them, they're thicker when not in use and have a gap in the middle when they are, plus they look horrible.

Folding.

I swapped the folding ones out of my Import mk1 car into my UK Mk2 before I sold the old one.

You can't flip the lid with solid ones without faffing with the visors. Folding ones are simply better. And they have cool Japanese writing on.

I've had both and much prefer the folding ones.

And I tried very carefully to choose words that wouldn't get mis-quoted laugh

No idea. Mine were missing when I bought my car, ebay turned up a pair.

Because they're rubbish, see my previous post wink

And my 1 piece visors have 'cool Japanese writing' on them too. I really don't see how them needing moving to latch the top up is any issue at all though, it's never even entered my mind as an irritation and it doesn't take much for a car to annoy me!

Really? I don't think so, both split and full ones I find restrict your view when down, so what I do is just fold half of the split down, perfect. smile

You don't have to have them all the way down you know....

If they're too thick when folded you can just fold them open when they're up, then they're the same shape as non-folding ones.. Mine don't have a noticeable gap either.

Its nice having the choice about which visor configuration to use, I understand if thats a little too complicated for some people though. winkhehe

I took mine out because they obscured the top of the windscreen (I'm only just 6 foot!). Usually I just wear sunglasses whenever I'm driving. Problem solved biggrin
