MGC - Good car lurking ?
Discussion
Although they were almost universally slated in the press in period I see they are now being re-appraised, particularly with a few modifications.
I've always had a sneaking liking for them - although I've never driven one. I have a test drive booked at a friends shortly so I'll at least get the feel of a standard car.
The question is - are they any good - and what basic modifications are necessasary to get the best out of them ?

Well put it this way mines just done one of the (slightly gentler) hoons to the Porsche do at Malton without missing a beat. Dare I say it gets held up in the corners quite regularly by more modern machinery too. Good grunty car and handling problems are a myth once on decent tyres pumped up hard. From there you can go and improve as much as you like.
IMO and I have both the C is a vastly better car than a B.
