V8 Vantage -Driver door not opening from inside

Two weeks after my knee surgery it was time to get back in the AMV8 and put the grin back on my face. Had a good blast out in the sunshine on Saturday afternoon, reversed into the garage when I got home and suddenly found I couldn't open the door. Tried dropping the window and using the outside lever and that wouldn't work either. No way to exit the passenger door as too close to garage wall and an objective view of the window in the driver door makes it easy to conclude there is no exit that way.

At this point I called for help and my son managed to get it open using the key from the outside. I then decided to get smart and go look at the parts catalog we have been so kindly furnished with and do a forum search. After that it was easy, remove the two bolts either end of the door latch/arm rest assembly, pull it off, reattach the cable/tab and reassemble.

Job done it 10 minutes, thanks to the PH Aston Martin community!
