Wasn't there a Dutchman who did something similar - but wasn't charged because he wasn't technically riding his bike at the time the camera went off?

presuming its a still pic only and not a video, maybe he could claim he was crossing the road and had to dive out of the way of an out of control motorbike. The fact he chooses to walk around the countryside in leathers and a helmet is his personal choice, he might be scared of aggressive looking bovines.

But surely he would still be exceeding the speed limit of the road regardless of whether he was on a vehicle or not.

There was a BBC news report a couple of years ago that showed "accident blackspots" with speed camera footage showing lots of people braking for the cameras and causing accidents.

Anyone remember this? There was a bit of an outcry at the time and the BBC pulled the report because it was clearly stupid.

Here is a clip I think: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvLrkIPqTZo

Helluva coincidence that the bike sparking it's wat across the tarmac happens to be registered to him... Thieves must have stolen it and jumped off when they recognised him.
