Vredestein Ultrac's seem to get good reviews on here...could be worth a go. im running goodyears on the back and whilst i do find them to be too hard / not grippy enough i would have to be trying very hard to get spin in 3rd!!!

what diff are you running? what suspension set up? i tend to run a little softer at the back - helps a little

I had F1's on the Sag when I first bought it, couldn't wait to get them off, too hard no traction, I have run R888's ever since, great tyres.

I went from old worn out 235 Eagle F1 GSD3's on the back of mine to new wider 255 Eagle F1A2's and the difference was night and day.

Very happy with the grip levels now.

Standard diff and standard gearbox with a factory fitted 4.0s in a T350 red rose featuring an all steel bottom end...suspension is Nitrons with Eibach springs with corner weights set..so should be good..

Sessantas are good and miles better than crappy hancocks(fitted to mine by previous owner, though good for slidey drifts) but I would say Goodyear Asyms (not the eagle F1s which I found lacking in grip) are better if you after road rubber.

I feel the goodyear eagle f1 dsg3's have more dry grip and they lose it nicely, not fast. In the wet sessanta's are a different league but I don't think they are quite as good in the dry. They last alot longer though and there is a lot less road noise!

I am running 14 from full soft at the front and 17 from full soft at the rear..this is a lot softer at the front and rear than the original set up when I bought the car..

So about twice as hard as me. 8 from soft all round with Eibach springs.

It does look that way, although when I got the suspension set up at TopCats Racing (they set the corner weights up as well - which were way out) they were recommending a harder setting to avoid the rear end squat under hard acceleration...
I wanted the softer settings as I was getting 'air' over motorway expansion joints, although I now have to be more careful when correcting tail slides as it now tends to snap back the other way..

Why not try changing the settings a bit yourself? Just remember how many clicks you've changed to (btw, I doubt your shocks are actually twice as hard, just twice as many clicks!).

FWIW Jason's (Str8Six) setup was 12 from soft on the front and 10 from soft on the rear for my car. He said this was best for 'fast road' use.

I'd try Targa's set up. You can always change it back if it doesn't help. Sounds like Topcats set up your car for smooth a-roads/ track, whereas Targa's is more road/ bumpy b-road biased. IMHO smile

May I just say, that is a superb looking sag you've got there thumbup

The only relevant thing I have to offer here, is that we run the Cerbera on Toyo Proxes and they have phenomenal levels of grip.

I do mean wheel spin..only a TVR forum could deal with this as a matter of fact..I still cannot get over it...

Tyre pressure at 24psi all around

Tyres around 3 years old with plenty of tread still in place

Less throttle...??

The irony is that only in a TVR forum would take you seriously when you tell people that your spinning wheels in 3rd and scaring passangers hehehehe, lets face it, very few others cars would be capable of this unless they were headed for a ditch......

Less throttle is the boring solution jester
