Classifieds section suggestion - Bargains.

Cast your mind back to I think it was the paper auto trader (i know, paper!)

It used to have a 'Bargain Basement' section which was for exactly that, cars for around £1000 etc.

Ay mileage in anything like this on PH or has the scrappage scheme put that to bed?

ETA - just seen we can now search the whole classifieds for a price range independent of manufacturer...

You can search the classifieds and filter the results by price. I often do this, searching for cars priced between £1200 & £800. Usually lots of results

come on that is expensive, I filter 300 -700, missed out on a nice alfa 146 ti 12 months mot, by 1 hour.

Op did say around £1000

Best car I ever had was a Peugeot 405 1.6 . Lasted me 4 years and it took a lot of abuse . Scrapped it when something went on the brakes which meant pedal pressure went. Paid £400 for it. I miss that car, nobody looked twice at it , never had to lock it. Used it to take rubbish to the tip

I'd like to volunteer to administer VBRJ to anyone who posts an advert in "Boring Stuff > Sheds" and includes the phrase "Not a shed!"

I know this option would get abused but I would love 2 tick boxes you can choose from when placing an add subsequently for you to search on.

1 with full service history and another with full dealer history.

I along with alot of other people on here search/buy on condition then age/mileage.

Inevitably though people would choose these options when placing the adds to get at the top of the list with a little note in the comments area saying it actually has a few reciepts.

Anybody else think this would be good/work?
