I am looking to change to a wooden steering wheel, have seen some nice Moto Lita styles but not sure wether to go for a 13in or 14 in and do you need a dished shape to clear the stalks or can you use a flat type ??

Any advice from people who have done this would be appreciated.

I reckon these improve the feel of the car;

My Moto Lita was a 14" dished on their advice. I wouldn't think flat would be right from a fitting or aesthetic point of view
I took it off when I sold the car and have it hanging on my office wall as I didn't want to lose it.

The rim is very thin but after a couple of weeks I loved it as it seemed to give more road feel and you hold it less tightly. Plus it looks great IMHO.

That does look so good, the colour is just right, think I might have a look at a 13" one and dished does add to it..Nice.

I would be unsure about the 13" as it might cut across the top of the dials and if you haven't got PAS (I did have it) it would take more effort.
The levers may also poke out behind a 13" which could look odd.

They have made loads for Chims so I presume they suggested the best version - I was certainly made up with it, even if I haven't got a TVR now.
I only fancied a run through the forum in my tea break for the first time in months and spotted your topic.

See what you mean about the size although I thought the original wheel was 13", have to nip to the garage and measure up..
