I just bought a scorpion stainless rear box for my m3, slightly used. I want to polish it right up before fitting with autosol and elbow greas but want to seal the finish as it's going to be a bugger to get at when fitted.

What's best for this? It's bare stainless, not lacquered.

No point in laquering it as the laquer will not adhere effectively to the polished surface of the exhaust, high temp wax will help, but it will need to be repolished and protected.

Might work, the fk1000 is supposed to be better the colli, but having not tried it on a exhaust backbox I'm not really in a position to say.
