We've just had one of these open in sheffield and they are really good, especially the strawberry glazed ones, anyone else a fan?

Yep. Stupidly expensive though. My fave is the chocolate topped one filled with some kind of sweet creamlick

My OH got two big boxes of them delivered when the one in Leeds opened (she blogs and they wanted advertising) - maybe it was the quantity but I found them too synthetic and only vaguely tasty once heated up. Morrisons and those filthy vans that cook them at fairgrounds still win for me.

I didn't sleep much for a couple of days, sugar high and shame.

The fat content is allegedly quite scary.. Not that I care of course! I like them, a lot.. Being greeted with them after a long flight is a sure fire way to stave off the jet lag for a few hours on a sugar fuelled high...

Can everyone stop creating threads about delicious junk food - I've now got to go to McDonalds via Tesco tomorrow morning!

I'm fairly sure it's class A powder on them rather than icing sugar.

Beautiful things. I can report that 4 glazed rings between Paddington and Reading is more than enough. Although quite a bit of space was taken up with 2 cans of Strongbow.

Tim Hortons doughnuts are much better, I think there's a few franchises opening in the UK.

Had ones of these cookie and cream ones whilst in Japan, wasn't as good as it looks:

Fresh ones are always nice though.

I think I OD'd on Tim Horton's last time I went to Canada. Imagine my surprise when I found a small outlet in a petrol station in west Ireland last month. It can't be long until they make their way here. lick

First tried these in Las Vegas about eight years ago. Left the missus in bed, and went out hunter-gathering for us both.

Krispy Kreme stand somewhere nearby, medium sized selection box selected. On way back to the room, had a little dabble on a slot machine, winning $250!

Back on topic, even the wife, who has a proper sweet tooth, couldn't eat a whole one. They somehow seem to contain more sugar than sugar itself.

Morrisons for me any day. Or the doughnut shop on Kendal marketplace if it's still there.

They're so sickly, I don't know how people eat them. Why can't we get all the nice stuff from the US like pink berry, chubby hubby, those shops that sell all different kinds of ice cream in between 2 massive cookies etc.

The first time I went to Krispy Kreme I bought 2 boxes of original glazed, Managed to finish it in two days biggrin But where I work we sell these and when I started at the company I use to buy one for my break all the time until I found out about the fat content, specially the trans fat!
