If its low on gas/lube does the system actually run so as not to cause damage?

I believe the blue light will not come on if it is not.

Sean
Had this with my Sag recently turned out the system had lost its gas, a vacuum check on the system showed it to be OK so was regassed and now all is well.

Hope yours is as simple to sort.

if its low on gas the trinary switch stops the compressor starting.
sounds like your switch is faulty or most likely its short of gas.

if i was you id order a switch[£25] and take it with you when getting the gas charge checked ,save you a trip back.
and mind for you or the next owner, if its low on gas the cycle has a leak there for will go low on gas again if not repaired.
there is a stat in the passengers foot area behind carpet. worth checking its not open circuit

Had the same issue with my Tamora. The blue light would come on but no a/c. The display on the dash menu was set to 'off'. Once set to 'on' it worked fine.

Whenever I use my air con I always get a warning beep within 30mins or so of using it.

Even if i use it for 10mins or so then turn it off. Very strange.
