As the title says really. My neighbour has a soft top beetle and she was wondering what product is the best to clean the cloth roof, so I thought I would ask on here then pass on the info to her
Cheers

If she just wants to clean it try a good bar of standard soap like imperial leather. Something without detergents - don't use washing up liquid.
If it needs a waterproofer as well see renovo.

A nice powerful jet wash if it's got tree sap or anything else stubborn just make sure you only jet wash the material and not the joins to body work or windows. Like other have metioned on her Renevo is excellent stuff!

Renovo is definitely the best stuff in my opinion, used it on my 330ci before each winter. Three stage kit - deep cleaner, soft top reviver (colour to match the hood), then waterproofer. Kit costs about £40, buy online from vertar. It will take several hours to do a thorough job but its well worth it. Put two coats of the waterproofer on if possible.

The reviver is best applied in a garage/undercover if at all possible, otherwise its easy to get flecks of it on the bodywork and its annoying to get off. Or at least on a still day outside,
