Discussion
s reg ferrari F355 based on an mr2 s reg in the classified ads of pistonhead mags.does anyone know anything about this car-am i likely to have any mechanical problems with it as i know nothing about kit cars and just want something to swan around in that doesnt involve loafs of moey.what do you think?regards bex
Serious or a very dull troll
Sold a 996 C4S cab and now wants a Ferrari replica. Surely that's a standard progression.

Didn't you ask the same question on here before? I've definitely read a similar post recently and got a feeling it was you and you got laughed at/called a troll?!bextt said:
yes im serious,i like the idea of driving it,it seems to look ok but then im no expert!!lol
No sh t.Look, you can't polish a turd. Either buy a proper Ferrari or don't bother.
Look in the classifieds for a 348. A real one. Or a 308/328.
Do not, repeat, DO NOT buy a badly polished turd.
Just get this: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2293641.htm
You'll get less s
t from PHs, less s
t from your garage, less s
t from your insurance company, and less s
t from the actual car.
Plus, it will probably be nicer to drive anyway.

yes i posted a similar question but the other car was 20K - alot more to lose if it turned out to be rubbish.7k not so bad
Easier question to ask would be "I'm looking at a 15 year old MR2 that persons unknown have glued a GRP kit onto, is it worth almost 7 times as much as one that’s not been messed about with, and if it is, what goes wrong with them."bextt said:

So you're thinking of buying a cheap, bad version of an already cheap and bad car?! Sounds like a rilliant plan to me...I agree you should go for it and post pictures.bextt said:

It will be dire either way I'm afraid. The proportions are all over the place and anyone with even a passing interest in Ferrari will see it for what it is - a pig in a dress. For 7k there are far, far better options. Thing is, do you want a car that you enjoy driving or one for status/looks? Sorry to say that the MR2 replica doesn't fit either of these categories.
