Seems the BBC comes down on the side of Isreal in the handover of hostages, how come the Isreali prisoner is lauded as a returning hero but the Palestinians hardly get a word!
Really? was quite the opposite on radio 4 today I thought.Might have something to do with the fact the 1000 palestiians are mostly convicted murderers

They did however point out on r5 earlier that the Israelis consider 1000:1 an acceptable ratio for prisoners, regarding life one might make similar assumptions I guess.
The ratio of 1000 : 1 has been forced on Israel by the Palestinians. The suggestion that this is something Israel is happy with is way of the mark.Derek Smith said:

He's a hero because he was a conscripted soldier. He did not have a choice but do the job he did and for that, he was kidnapped. The Palestinians in question here all chose their path and it was one of criminality and terrorism.0a said:
The Americans criticise the BBC for being anti Israeli, however I'm not sure how true this is.

If you manage to uspet both sides in an argument, it shows you are doing something right. They did however point out on r5 earlier that the Israelis consider 1000:1 an acceptable ratio for prisoners, regarding life one might make similar assumptions I guess.

The international red cross/red crescent were allowed access to the Palestinain prisoners in accordance with international law.Did the Palestinains who held this man for 5 years let the IRC have access to him? No.

They were shown plenty over here. It appears most of the 1,000 are known murderers and assorted career criminals so they will be right back into the mix shortly. All this pfaff about "opening negotiations" with Gaza/Palestein/Hezbollah about peace between them and Israel is bullcrap.
They won't be satisfied until Israel and the Jews and Christians are gone. It's Jihad, a holy war, and there is no "peace process" there is no middle ground, or compromise. The media tippy toes around this fact, but doesn't want to be next in the firing line (literally)
