Following on from the zombie thread, it got me thinking!!!

someone said that a total and complete meltdown of the financial system and the world descending into panic is more likely than a zombie invasion

In many ways, they are right wink

Ignore the holes in the argument for a minute (backups etc...) if something of that type that were to happen and all financial records were to disappear, shares and pensions would be useless, debts would be wiped clean, savings gone in a flash, records of who owned what gone.....

what is there about 'wealth' that would remain? What in your life would have an actual, physical value.

Just musing really that all our 'money' is only figures on one screen or another, what do we have that is actually 'valuable'?

A house, clean water, food (a farm), a gun, a generator, fuel to burn for heat and power, a bike, powered transportation.

Any decent farm will have its own water supply and its own microgeneration facility. A mate of mine rents his out to RWE.

It's only enough for a few hundred houses, or, you know - one farm with all the heating you could ever want... (you could heat all the barns, and the road....)

biggrin
