More problems with the girlfriends KA

It has developed a scraping noise coming from the back left hand side wheel, sounds pretty metallic. What could this be? Wheel bearing?? Thing is, sounded pretty bad sunday, drove it yesterday and couldnt hear it for about a mile, then the noise faintly came back.

Also, builders have been in next door, vans parked up right next to her car. Could a stone or something have possibly got trapped in the wheel?

Was about to suggest a stone in the brake disc shield, but drums on the back I think...

Have you jacked it up and given the wheel a spin? Any play in the wheel if you wobble top/bottom?

Is the noise present all the time or just under braking? Possibly a build up of brake dust in the drums or shoes worn out? Fairly simple DIY job to take the drums off and have a look. Or you could do what I did when my aux belt and tensioner was making a racket, turn the stereo up!

Rusty drums? I've had drum edges rust and swell up and then rub on the back plate. if it's this, remove the drums and clean off the egdes with a file
