Got home and thought it's a bit darn cold round these parts.
Heating on for 30 minutes and now i'm too hot.

Was going to do a survey but i can't see how, so who has 'girled' out and who are the real men still in shorts?

Heating has been on and off since late August.

I've since found a happy medium where I can leave it on all the time without it getting too hot.

I don't pay the gas bill by the way.

I doubt my heating will be on until January at the earliest.

This is one of the better things about living in a flat with huge windows. The bad bit is in the summer when there is no aircon and it's 30c inside all the time :/

On a thermostat so it's been on for a couple of weeks (and the odd occasion before that).

I am not alone then, looking forward to cheap bills hopefully. Loft insulation upgraded, cavities done and shiny new thermostatic rad valves.

How do you post a survey BTW?

Shirley huge windows lose you more heat than smaller ones would?

No heating until the missus' nagging about how cold she is gets unbearable, at the moment only a 3 on the moanometer. Does anyone else find themselves sitting in a T-shirt while the OH has a fleece on and a blanket(!) and still whinges?

Bizzarely the wife doesn't moan about the cold, first woman i've ever known who keeps a room colder than i.
(Though gets a bit chilly in the morning with the bedroom windows open year round, and she still doesn't seem to understand why its freezing in bedroom despite the heating being on in the morning).

Dogs feel it first, when you get up and they are both cuddled up in one dog bed you know it's cold normally they defend their beds to the death!

Im sat in shorts and a t-shirt still. Its not that bad down here in Guernsey yet. Apparently its going to get a bit pearl harbour round here next week tho. Might have to rethink then.
