I thought they drag raced a tornado jet with a 4.2 but I can't find that clip.

They did indeed, it was a silver Cerb racing an F3 if I'm not wrong. I had a full page picture which I cut out of Top Gear magazine on the wall above my desk while at uni. I still have it somewhere I'm sure. I did a Google image search but to no avail, If/when I find my copy I'll post it up.

Could be right. There is/was a story doing the rounds that the Cerb kept beating the plane over the measured distance in practice, and then, just before the final shoot the pilot suggested there was a problem with the plane and so they swapped it for another without weapons on or something - and the plane won.Probably BS but a good pub story for us owners

Do you mean the red cerb that was 'fast enough to create its own weather'? If you do then it was a 4.2 as the 4.5 wasn't yet out.
No, that was N244KCW. This was the raspberry example from the original Top Gear test circa 1995. Under the bonnet looks suspiciously familiar to the 4.5. A quick Experian search suggests that M515 does still exist somewhere in some form. Gassing Station | Cerbera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
