Well i was of work today. clearing out lots of old boxes. lone and behold i come across my OLD max power mags. project 2000,project thunder, project mad max. yes they are all there. Well needless to say i spent 3 hours looking though the old mags. Loads of crud. but some real gems a orange RS Mexico with a cosworth engine. ha ha love to look back and see what was cool or the done thing back then. 3 spoke alloys anyone ! To think 18" alloys were thought to be pushing the boundaries. standard fitment to lots of cars these days. just got me thinking does anyone still have that max power itch, they still want to scratch. i still want a MK2 RS turbo with tiger stripes

and all the birds with their fun bags out at cruzzzzes answering pink or brown
You just know they got a load of pictures at cruises of tarts with their airbags out and sat in the office playing "which girl looks like she likes it up the wrong un"
That would have been a great job.

When you say the max power itch, is that the same itch teenage lads have when flicking through the 'fit birds init'!! ;-)
Don't mean to change the subject is max power still around, haven't seen it in shops for ages, not bad for a flick through now and again.
Nope it closed at the end of last year iirc.Don't mean to change the subject is max power still around, haven't seen it in shops for ages, not bad for a flick through now and again.

I dont suppose you have a copy from about march 2003, with the Ferrari red Kingdom Developments crx del sol on the front do you?
If he hasn't, I will have, I think I've got every Max, Fast Car and Revs from their inceptions up until about 2005 or so..... what do you need?
I used to be into Max Power back in the day, went to the shows at the NEC too. I cringe when I look back now and see what kind of cars I used to think were cool...I used to dream about having lambo doors fitted
thankfully my dreams never became reality.I remember "pink or brown?" too, and 20 pages of sex lines in the back of the mag.
It was good up until 2003 ish. Too many skanky birds and sex line adverts, but the years before that were good. Cosworth powered R5 gt turbos,Polo's with VR6 lumps. Novas with turbo red tops. The list goes on. All with body kits 6ft wide. Granted looking though them now 70% are utter s
t, but there is a few i still would love to own. All be it without the candy apple paint and boot full of amps and subs. I have one issue with a old Granada in brown s
t colour, full of about 30 amps and 30 subs. Why the f
k would you do that to a brown Granada ! ha ha ha.

im sure this was in issue 8 ha ha

It kind of reformed towards the end, I think Fast Car went into the same market but that used to be ok, I stopped buying it when some chimp was braying about all the death and destruction he had caused, like killing some old ladies cat. It got so I bought them and then couldnt leave them around, may has well have been Razzle and generally they were all skankers off the higher numbered Sky channels, you know the late night ones.

Mad little cars. Understeer into many curbs when the boost came on?
