I have a standard 993 with 18" Bridgeston S02's. Does anyone else have similar?, if so, what tyre pressures do you use?.

Also, what pressure do other 993 owners use on theirs?

I run

Front = 36psi
Rear = 42psi

If I put anymore in the rear's it tends to make the car too 'jumpy' at the front, If i use less it affects the crossover point from under/oversteer to the extent where understeer remains for too long.

i have 18" S02 on my car.

After some trial and error and chat with long term 993 owners ....

I now use 33F - 36R cold on the road

For track days start off 28 cold all round and adjust to 32 all round when hot.

I know a few people who also happily use these settings.

I just had my C2 Coupe set up on the 993RS settings, its lowered by 30mm on TechArt springs and has an RS Aerokit.

My 18" SportContacts are rinning on 36 fronts and 44 rears.

Feels just right...

For good grip and decent ride for the road on 18" wheels 32-34 front and 36-38 rear work well. For track use with normal road tyres (meaning usual N-rated tyres, not Pilot Sport Cup or Pzero Corsa or similar) aim for 36-38 hot front and 38-40 hot rear - road tyres run on the track at the low hot pressures typical of race tyres will not perform nearly as well as they could and may suffer carcass damage and fail entirely, they do not have the sidewall strength of a race tyre.

To best address the understeer/oversteer balance you really need to fit the RS adjustable bars (ideally with better dampers, or even better something like the PSS-9 - slippery slope here we come ). Can fit 245/35 on the front instead of 225/40 to reduce understeer but there are few tyres in that size (Pzero Rosso is one) and of course not being a standard size the tyres would not be N-rated.
