Based in S Cambs, our Company produces automated systems with applications in drug discovery, bioprocess development, biologics production and regenerative medicine
We are looking for candidates who can offer:
Experience of project management such that they are able to contribute quickly and strongly to our current project portfolio.
Experience of a product development.
Key Job Accountabilities
To professionally execute projects meeting budget, schedule and quality targets:
To carefully define the project including scope and project strategy.
To determine and manage the resource allocation necessary to execute the project, providing leadership and motivation.
To work closely with the Product Management function to ensure product developments deliver successfully to market needs.
To be the main point of contact for the project customers and suppliers, internal and external.
To produce and maintain accurate project plans – schedule / resource / budget / contingencies, and regularly reporting project status, taking action as required.
To ensure that all project deliverables are fit for purpose, using QMS.
To manage project risks.
To effectively manage project meetings.
To understand and manage project health and safety.
To travel to clients sites (world wide) as required to execute the project.
To be an excellent communicator, championing the project internally and externally.
To manage handover of the project deliverables to production.
To liaise with other project group members to evolve project management “best practice” within the company, and to input to QMS procedures to improve business performance.
To keep up-to-date with tools and techniques appropriate to the job.
Education/Qualifications/Special Training
Minimum BSc (Hons) 2:1 from established University in a numerate/engineering discipline, ideal.
Alternatively, a qualification in Project Management with a proven record in the automation / software fields
Experience
Proven project management experience.
Technical/engineering background and experience would be advantageous.
Able to demonstrate a successful record in complex product development projects (£1m+) in the software/automation field.
Fluent in Microsoft Project.
Comfortable in a multi-disciplined environment.
