Why cant it be acceptable for CMD to just walk across the floor & land one on MegaBland & Balls?
Megabland wants to try and get us out this mess by borrowing more money, im no economic expert, but surely thats just adding to the length of time before we dig ourselves out the s
tstorm we are currently in.

I remember listening to a documentary on Radio 4 about (I know, I know, Im old) the amount of drinking that goes on inside the house of commons. WaaaaaaHoooooRrrraaaHHHHeeeeboooorraaahhhheeeyyyyybooooo

I was a bit surprised to hear 1) the number of bars inside, if i remember rightly it was a slightly ridiculous number ... 50 something ?. 2) the fact that the MP's day seemed to go like this .... get driven to work, debate a little, go to bar, drink, drink, drink ... bell rings in bar to tell them to reconvene and vote on something .... back to bar, drink, drink ....etc.
Is that for real ?, or was this a massively biased radio broadcast ?, I never thought about a career in politics at all, but if it is just a massive pub crawl as it sounded - I really think I may have missed my vocation.

Although I do enjoy abit of "Commons comedy" I can't help think that if they stopped trying to win points against each other in petty arguements and got their heads together to sort out the economy we'd be out of this s
t quicker.
I admire your optimism about the capabilities of politicians.

IIRC the redline on the carpet dates back to the days where sword fights would ensue, and MPs are not permitted to cross it.
But yes, yes I cant believe he hasn't yet!
Yes, the lines are just far enough apart that two men with swords can not kill each other. Which is a shame, perhaps we should repeal that policy and let them take in swords... But yes, yes I cant believe he hasn't yet!
Rather than see them engage in fisticuffs, I just wish a really, really honest reply would be given.. Such as "well if Mr Brown hadn't left the country in such a s**t state we wouldn't have to raise taxes".

I'd like Bercows job and I would rule with an iron fist. Anyone who started heckling would get coshed over the head with that big mace. I mean, why have it there if you aren't going to put it to any use, and this seems like how the job should be performed rather than sitting up on your pedestal and softly moaning for people to be quiet.
"er, quiet please... quiet, please... please be quiet... whimper...."
"er, quiet please... quiet, please... please be quiet... whimper...."
